Minimal Framework
flxbl is designed with flexibility and adaptability at its core and is a minimal framework, this approach caters to a wide range of needs, from teams looking to gradually transition by using ideas/techniques selectively to those seeking to start a new Salesforce implementation using the framework holistically.
Core Components:
Platform — codev: codev is the collaborative development stack for Salesforce. It brings CI/CD, environment pools, change validation, release management, and operations into one desktop and web app.
Engine — sfp-pro: sfp-pro is the artifact-driven build, test, and release engine codev runs on. It is also available as a CLI that drops into existing workflows in place of home-grown scripts or commercial deployment tools.
Techniques: best practices, methodologies, and patterns that teams adopt to improve their development processes. Designed to be adopted gradually, so teams can evolve their practices at a comfortable pace.
Adoption Path:
The adoption pathway for flxbl is flexible.
Teams that want the full platform start with codev — CI/CD, pools, validation, and releases out of the box.
Teams that prefer to run their own pipeline can use sfp-pro directly as the engine, integrating it with minimal disruption.
Teams focused on long-term process improvement adopt the Techniques gradually, refining their development practices over time.
