ServiceNow
Create ServiceNow change requests for releases, and optionally hold a release until its change request is approved.
codev can connect to ServiceNow to bring releases into your change-management process. There are two parts, and you can use either on its own:
- Change requests — codev opens a ServiceNow change request for a release and writes the changed packages into it, as a record of what is being deployed.
- Release gating — codev holds a release until its change request has been approved in ServiceNow.
Both build on the same connection: start with Change requests to connect ServiceNow and test it, then use Release gating to make releases wait for approval. This sits alongside the human approval gate — an environment can require a person, a ServiceNow change request, or both.
